Transformation Tuesday with Rachel

How old are you and please can you share your health and fitness journey to date?

I am 31 years old! I am a certified Personal Trainer! I am prior military, I am married for the last 9yrs and I have 3 girls(12.8,2)! As a teenager I suffered from bulemia! I have struggled with body dismorphia for a long time! It wasn't until my last child was born that I decided to take charge of my life! Love my self and all that my body can do! I feel as though I need to make a statement! Show women that we should love ourselves as we are! Cause we are amazing individuals! Our bodies and minds are capable of so much and we never truly tap Into our abilities!I currently power and weightlifting in my spare time! I work at a athletic club as a trainer and also run my own Mobile Personal training business, geared towards woman!!

What types of foods did you used to eat as a kid and young adult? What's changed since then?

We were not allowed candy or so as a child, unless it was a special occasion! Which resulted in my overindulgence!! Now, as an adult, I'm not a fan of candy or soda! My children are allowed candy, just in moderation! However, I love oreos!

Do you play any sports or what sports do you like watching?

I'm not a big sports fan, except my default! My husband is a football fan!! I love to watch the Crossfit games tho!

What are your interests, passion and what makes you smile?

My passion, are my children and my husband, second to that, my fitness life and my clients! My interest are fitness, learning new types of fitness styles and I'm currently taking up yoga and gymnastic!

What was the catalyst that sparked your lifestyle change?

Having girls changed the way I view myself! I would never want my daughters to look at themselves the way I used to view myself! I want to teach them to love themselves and embrace who they are!

What are some of your dreams/goals you hope to achieve over the next 12 months?

I hope to expand my business and reach many many woman over the entire globe and show them that stretch marks, inflexibility, you can still be sexy, you can still be strong! You are still beautiful!

What tips would you like to share with my readers about your transformation?

Transformation is a process! You won't wake up to a new you! It's starts with small baby steps! Take your time, find what you love doing! Having a support sytem and enjoy it! Have fun! Love yourself!!
