Transformation Tuesday with Lora

How old are you and please can you share your health and fitness journey to date?

I am 35. I've struggled with weight issues since childhood. I've been at this thing for awhile. It's not a quick fix. After the birth of my first child, I lost weight doing a low calorie diet and cardio.

What types of foods did you used to eat as a kid and young adult? What's changed since then?

I used to eat a lot of processed and pre made foods. Now majority of the food I eat is cooked at home! Or if I do go out I've been able to make wiser food choices.

Do you play any sports or what sports do you like watching?

I actually don't really play any sports.

What are your interests, passion and what makes you smile?

I love cooking and baking. Healthy and non healthy foods. Seeing others enjoy my treats makes me smile! I love to help others see that they can lead healthy lifestyles and not be on super restrictive diets.

What was the catalyst that sparked your lifestyle change?

As I was getting older I just knew I needed to take better care of myself. I knew the older I got the harder this would be. So I had to act on it.

What are some of your dreams/goals you hope to achieve over the next 12 months?

I would like to decrease some body fat. Continue to lift heavy. I've been out of the gym the last month due to a shoulder injury so I'm looking forward to getting back into the gym!

What tips would you like to share with my readers about your transformation?

It's taken time and consistency. The journey isn't perfect. And there will be times you will doubt what you are doing is working. KEEP on going. Make choices that will get you closer to your goals whatever your goals may be in leading a healthy and balanced lifestyle. These goals are different for EVERYBODY. And there a million and one ways to get where you are going. Choose one that suits your life and it will be that much easier. I promise you, if I can do this, so can YOU.
