How old are you and please can you share your health and fitness journey to date?

2.5 years ago I started my fitness journey in becoming a healthier individual mentally, physically, and emotionally! I did a complete 180 on my LIFE; changed my degree program from Psychology to Sport Sciences, Careers from Fortune 500 company to becoming a Certified Personal Trainer and Skin Care business owner, and physically from 170lbs dropping 40lbs and currently weighing in at 150lbs by building lean muscle through proper diet and lifting heavy!

What types of foods did you used to eat as a kid and young adult? What's changed since then?

When I was younger I was always active in sports and could literally eat whatever I wanted. As I became a young adult and my activity level decreased the pounds started to pack on and the scale started to read a higher number every year! Now that I am educated on what types of foods the body needs to function on a day to day basis I eat according to my needs whether it's to build muscle or to lean out!

Do you play any sports or what sports do you like watching?

I love to watch Professional Soccer, NFL (GREEN BAY ALL DAY) and college basketball (WI)!!!

What are your interests, passion and what makes you smile?

Fitness and Health is my passion and I am blessed to be living my dream everyday! I train my clients and then I'm able to workout whether it's hitting the weights, Tabata/HIIT, or hiking with my puppy!

What was the catalyst that sparked your lifestyle change?

When I was 26 I had my "ah ha" moment when I became very ill (and potentially could have lost my life if it weren't for my friends insisting on me going to the ER). I was diagnosed with appendicitis and had to undergo emergency surgery. When I woke up alone in the hospital I realized how unhappy I was with my life! In that moment I decided I would take control back and in doing so I found a passion for Fitness and Health.

What are some of your dreams/goals you hope to achieve over the next 12 months?

Within the next year I will be finished with my Bachelors in Sport Sciences and the dream is to open a gym with my brother.

What tips would you like to share with my readers about your transformation?

I learned that life is short and in an instant can change! Do whatever it is that makes you happy! I wake up everyday elated because I get to help others on their fitness journey in living a healthier fuller life, and that my friends is the most rewarding feeling!
