How old are you and please can you share your health and fitness journey to date?

What types of foods did you used to eat as a kid and young adult? What's changed since then?

I use to eat junk food growing up. Chips, tacos, ice cream, candy bars! I learned that those foods were detrimental to my Heath after losing my mom to cancer and graduating with a bachelors in exercise physiology. I now eat healthy lean meats, veggies and fruits!

Do you play any sports or what sports do you like watching?

I don't play any sports. I like watching basketball with my boyfriend SOMETIMES!

What are your interests, passion and what makes you smile?

I am passionate about helping others. I plan to pursue a degree in nursing and then ascend to nurse practitioner school. I love working out and finding new ways to inspire others.

What was the catalyst that sparked your lifestyle change?

When I was in class we had to weigh ourselves. When I saw the number 245 pounds a part of me died. I couldn't believe I let myself gain that much weight. Ever since that day , almost a year ago, I vowed to myself that I would take control of my life.

What are some of your dreams/goals you hope to achieve over the next 12 months?

Within the next 12 months I hope to be able to run 5-10 miles. I hope to partake in a race. I hope to reach my goal weight of 145 pounds and to start toning my body.

What tips would you like to share with my readers about your transformation?

Take pictures ! Don't just rely on the scale for profess. Don't give up! I had so many setbacks but I kept going anyways. If you mess up that's okay. This journey is for the rest of your life. Enjoy the process. Trust the process. Embrace the process.
