Transformation Tuesday with Ellice Degiovanni
Ellice you must be proud of your hard work on all aspects of fitness. You have not only achieved a healthy and fit bod, you have put the love for fitness into a business. I know how GREAT that feels!! How amazing is our body pre and post baby? You rock! Work hard, play hard and love life always!
How old are you and please can you share your health and fitness journey to date?
I am 33 years old and have been involved in sport for as long as I can remember. I was a competitive hurdler for 8yrs competing nationally for Australia. So fitness health and wellness is just in my blood and I love everything about getting a great sweat on.
What types of foods did you used to eat as a kid and young adult? What's changed since then?
As a kid your just less aware and well let's face it you can eat anything you want without it affecting you as much as it does as you get older. I always ate healthy due to being involved in sport but now I tend to just be more aware on a whole what goes into my body and what I want to eat to fuel my body over just eating for the sake of it.
Do you play any sports or what sports do you like watching?
I don't play sports now but sprinting has always been my go to and favourite sport. i have always like individual sports where there is no one else to push but yourself
What are your interests, passion and what makes you smile?
What makes me smile- my son, my dogs playing on the beach, clean sheets, spending time with my family and having a great sweat session.
What was the catalyst that sparked your lifestyle change?
I put 23kg on during my pregnancy mostly it was all in my huge belly (big boy) but it was so foreign to me to feel that heavy that I dislike the whole experience. Although I trained throughout my pregnancy the scales kept going up. Lots of people told me that is never get back to the way I looked before which made me want it even more so I said to myself I would give myself 6 months to be back into the best shape of my life. And I did it.
What are some of your dreams/goals you hope to achieve over the next 12 months?
I have a business called street sweat and a blog off that called sweat seeker which I hope to get as many "sweat seekers" loving themselves and choosing health and fitness as their natural high over poor choices like drugs or alcohol as their high. I have also developed my own running strap to hold your phone called the SS Active strap which I to would love to see do well in the near future.
What tips would you like to share with my readers about your transformation?
No one can push you harder, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually then YOU so learn to depend only on yourself for motivation and encourage. And be proud every day that the choice to move is exactly that, your choice, to make you the best it can be.
Good luck with your future ventures Elllice! I hope you keep pursuing your dreams and keep succeeding!!
