Transformation Tuesday with Anderson
Today's amazing transformation comes from across the world, the land of Brazil. Please welcome the inspirational Anderson...
How old are you and please can you share your health and fitness journey to date? I am 32 years old and 1 year and 7 months ago I decided to change
What types of foods did you used to eat as a kid and young adult? What's changed since then? Always had the wrong food as a child. I ate food all day - cookies, chips, chocolates, pizzas, snacks and was a soda addict. Today I have drastically changed my diet due to my training. I now eat every 2 hours, food such as fruits, vegetables, natural juices and no more fried food, candy and replaced white flour with wholemeal.
Do you play any sports or what sports do you like watching? Today I practice bodybuilding Monday through Friday and on weekends race.
What are your interests, passion and what makes you smile? My interest today is to get a sponsor, my passion is my family.
What was the catalyst that sparked your lifestyle change? I've always been overweight but things got worse when my four year old son was diagnosed with leukemia. I gained a lot because I had to abandon my life and live nearly 1 year in the plains where my son is in treatment at Boldrini Hospital. I had dedicated my life to him, but I realized if I continued that way I was not going to be able to continue to care for him and my son depended on me. I resolved to change for him and for me. In this time of chemotherapy my son taught me what it was to be a warrior of faith with all his suffering. He never missed a smile on his face and the strength to fight for life at a time when everything was taken from him - including his family and friends - there is no pain worse to deny your child his food.
The past two years and five months my son won this battle against cancer and my fight continues as it is a still a win every time, and my family and I have embarked on a healthy living project. I love my wife very much, she has always been with me and never despised me for being that size. She saw me when no one else saw me as a person and had a lot of patience to help me in this process. I keep focused and persevering! I am a warrior and will not bow before the impossible, I want the biggest challenges ahead of me because I always asked God shoulders strong and not burdens light. Every day, training to face that I could not fight on yesterday, workout my soul, my body and my mind, may be small on the world and on various obstacles, but it gave me the opportunity to overcome them, will fight. Past traumas only existed to give me strength to overcome me. I have my family that I love, I have friends and I have willpower. Nothing is impossible for me to receive the challenges of the world with open arms. If there is no tomorrow ... Today I fought.
What are some of your dreams/goals you hope to achieve over the next 12 months? Goal to lose 5 kg more
What tips would you like to share with my readers about your transformation? Start slowly change your eating habits, do a physical activity, it changed my life. And never give up - your dreams will require willpower, discipline and lots of patience but in the end will be worth the worth all the sacrifice.
