Our Transformation Tuesday spots help me show off all kinds of amazing peeps to keep you feeling motivated and inspired. This week – meet Alexander. It’s great to hear his honesty – and his motivation is rock solid, thanks to his beautiful little boy and his wife.

What motivates you to change your life and get moving?

I’d love to hear about it, so if you’ve got your own Transformation Tuesday to tell, please click here and share your story with the world at DaniStevens.com.

How old are you and please can you share your health and fitness journey to date?

Hi, my name is Alexander Burias. I’m 31 years old. I’ve been obese / morbidly obese for as far as I can remember. I started my fitness journey when i had my kid (Zach) because I realised I couldn't lift him long enough to enjoy his company...and I cant even play with him without losing my breath. I’ve also been lacking as a husband providing for my beautiful wife ;)

That is when I decided to just start pushing it to the limit and started my journey to become a better husband...and a great father... :)

What types of foods did you used to eat as a kid and young adult? What's changed since then?

I basically ate everything I could get my hands into...and I've drank a lot of soft drinks, almost every meal. I go to restaurants and eat all their processed food, if it's something new - and I gorged myself almost daily with pork meat and junk foods.

Since I’ve started my journey, I’ve totally stopped processed sugar and only drink water...the only sugar I get are from fruits. I've also started semi-paleo-ish diet when I can and just started eating whole foods in general. I have also been doing intermittent fasting around 10am to 6pm eating window and 6pm to 9:59am fasted, which is working great so far

Do you play any sports or what sports do you like watching?

I'm a computer guy so i never had a chance to play any kind of sports (unless you consider eSports) :D

What are your interests, passion and what makes you smile?

I love music, my passion is towards music and software related stuff. My family has been the one that's always giving me the biggest smiles in life.

What was the catalyst that sparked your lifestyle change?

The first sign that I needed to change was the fact that I couldn't barely move my body to help out my wife when she gave birth to our beautiful first born. Then, after that, I just didn't stop motivating myself and with her help, I finally was able to start my fitness journey and I’m planning on not stopping :).

What are some of your dreams/goals you hope to achieve over the next 12 months?

My first 6 months was mostly losing weight (I lost about more than 30kilos) - from 105Kg to 70kg, which was great. Over the next couple of months I'm planning on my Shredding phase, which basically composes of Sprinting routines, Calisthenics and a few yoga moves.

What tips would you like to share with my readers about your transformation?

If the motivation is strong enough, I would say anything is possible. I was a software developer working almost 16 hours per day and never had any chance to see daylight sometimes. But, thankfully, with a great goal in mind and a lot of push from your loved ones, anything is certainly possible.

I'm still planning on creating my YouTube channel after the next 6 months of shredding phase so you can watch out for that :)
