Transformation Tuesday with Kim

Kim shares her transformation journey with us from tackling medication and yo-yo diets to appreciating and living life as it should be - to the fullest! Transformation Tuesday with Kim

How old are you and please can you share your health and fitness journey to date? 30yrs old.

I was always a bit overweight for my age growing up and had issues with my monthly cycle. As I got older my weight spiraled out of control and I learnt I had PCOS. I dealth with lots of symptoms including weight gain and always tried fad diets. It was a yo-yo effect.

About 3 years ago My hubby and I hit the gym and started working out regularly and lifting weights. I started to see consistent results and kept at it. I lost about 90lbs.

What types of foods did you used to eat as a kid and young adult? What's changed since then? As a kid and young adult about 80% of my diet was processed and junk food. Now I cook at home more and eat more fruits and veggies. Incorporated juicing into our lifestyle.

Do you play any sports or what sports do you like watching? I like watching football and basketball. I'm more a gym girl.

What are your interests, passion and what makes you smile? I LOVE cooking, writing, travel and making friends. I love getting to know people and seeing others happy makes me happy! (:

What was the catalyst that sparked your lifestyle change? I couldn't do anything. I felt like I wasn't living a full life and I could never dress the way I wanted and always got sick and took lots of medication. One day I decided I wasn't going to live that way.

What are some of your dreams/goals you hope to achieve over the next 12 months? Over the next 12 months I would love to see better results with my overall health and body (body fat) I hope to have a baby in the upcoming year (: and want to be as healthy as possible.

What tips would you like to share with my readers about your transformation? Nobody ever said it would be easy. They just said it would be worth it. Don't stop when you see a bump in the road.. Slow down but get over it because there is a finish line and you CAN cross it. Impossible is nothing.

Thank you Kim for sending us your story in!

Much love and friendship,

XxDani
