Mums need to move their body everyday

I can't tell you how many people have been shocked since our move to find out I am a mother of 4 children under 9 years! How do you do it? When do you find time? You sure you have 4 kids? Seriously, it's so funny! My new healthy lifestyle and kids motivate me and in return it has just become a habit. These days our young people are less active than they've ever been, with all these tech gadgets the average child spends about 30 hours a week watching television or playing video games. We have a ban from 9am-5pm, no technology and it's timed when they're on it. We always encourage our kids to move and of course with our new backyard, that's all we do.

My tips on moving your body with kids;

1). Go to the park and play on their equipment! Go down the slide, up the Fire Man pole, jump over the seesaw and just run in the park 2). Pick an activity that everyone enjoys or if you don't want to skate like me (EEEK!!!) you can walk! 3). Go to the beach or pool and get wet! Jump in the pool, play tiggy, do handstands, swim relays, water bombs etc... 4). Grab a ball and go outside! Kick it, throw it, roll it, shoot some hoops, tunnel ball, hot potato you name it! 5). Make exercising fun so you don't realise you are doing it. Play volleyball, hopscotch, hide and seek, kiss and cuddle chasey, jump rope, dance... the list is endless.
