Fitness Friday with Tanja Djelevic

This chick simply rocks! A lean, mean fighting machine Tanja Djelevic was born and bread in Sweden and I simply fell in love with her on Instagram a few months when I came across her page.

She studied at the prestigious Swedish Academy of Fitness Education and continued her education by completing a Masters Degree in Psychology, specializing in Stress Management Therapy and Behavioural Life Coaching. She's a NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) and has fitness certifications from Reebok, AFAA, ACE, Powerhouse Pilates and C.H.E.K Institute.

WHOOSH and much much more!!! There is nothing this Superwoman can't do. Maybe that's what connected me with Tanja as I feel we are cut from the same cloth of motivation, plus we share the same Serbian background.

Without further adieu Tanja shares with us everything Fitness, Food and Style;

Tanja Djelevic

1. What fitness activity do you schedule into your daily routine to keep healthy?

I make sure I do at least an hour of movement every day. Now, what that is depends on what I need, what cycle I'm in and what I have time to do. But since my activity is my movement therapy, I make sure something happens every day.

2. Describe your dream meal - what could we expect to find on your plate?

OH MY: well I'm Serbian and Montenegrin and I just LOVE my moms home cooking. We make a sour cabbage roll (Sarma) which is so tasty and really super healthy. Its just sour cabbage (best superfood there is) and ground lean meat and veggies inside. Simple, and so so good.

3. Who’s your go to style icon - who have you always admired for their style, and why?

I'm a minimalist fashion kind of girl. The things I love are a T shirt and jeans with a pair of high heels. I could wear that every day, all day long. I do love how they always dress Cameron Diaz in her movies. Her character is always fun and sexy, in a effortless way. I also wear a lot of Swedish fashion-simplistic, string, simple. Eva Attling has an amazing jewellery line which combines great style with life philosophy.

4. What’s a childhood habit or mannerism that has followed you into adulthood?

I cover my ear with my own hair before I fall asleep, because my mom always used to do it for us. She was afraid that a bug would crawl in and stay in our ears! And I'm telling the truth ;)

5. Name three things you can’t leave the house without and why?

lipgloss-cuz a girl has to look a little sassy ALWAYS phone-since I love my friends and family and want to stay connected a bottle of water-in LA you can't really drink the tap water and staying hydrated is KEY!

Tanja also shares;

Movement has always been a part of my life. I started early in Sweden where I grew up, with dancing and athletics, and then it grew from there. I'm the happiest when I get to move. Its very much hat keeps me energized, happy and its my everyday therapy. Its a trusted friend when I have low days and high days. Its a part of my LifeForce routine. Another part is working on being mindful and putting my energy into the things that matter the most. I'm not always successful but I always try and do my best! My favorite thing to do when I  travel to a new place in the world, and explore it with a run. Ill take my phone which has GPS and camera, and off I go.

I'm truly honoured to get to share myself with Miss Dani's readers! Thank You :)
