Fitness Friday with Lita Lewis

I'm loving Follow The Lita! Last year on Fitness Food And Style I featured Lita on my Monday Motivational post. She is one inspiring lady. Lita has officially launched her own website with amazing fitness programs, tips and tricks. litalewis

The gorgeous Lita takes 5 minutes with us today to share with us a little bit more about herself:

What fitness activity do you schedule into your daily routine to keep healthy? My training these days consists of a nice variety of different types of training. I'm currently incorporating a lot of track work, taking advantage of this New York summer weather I love to hit the track outdoors and do a lot of sprint intervals, drills and plyometric work. I'll also take Bikram yoga twice a week, Spin class once a week and also get my weight training sessions 4-5 times a week. So my fitness activity is very diverse at the moment and I prefer it that way, keeps me well rounded and I avoid boredom.

Describe your dream meal – what could we expect to find on your plate? I'm such a lover of food that it is always hard to choose just one dish! My favorite meal is breakfast, so I think if it's a cheat meal and I could have anything my taste buds desired I'd choose to have French Toast drenched in maple syrup, with a side of scramble eggs, smoked salmon, turkey bacon, a berries salad and a good cup of joe! Yup, dream meal!

Who’s your go to style icon – who have you always admired for their style, and why? My social life is so unhealthy, haha. I rarely have an excuse to get out of gym gear and look like a regular person, haha. However I love singer/dancer Ciara's style. She embodies a style that I love and can identify with; tomboy glam, comfortable yet contemporary. To me she comes across stylist, sexy with a rebellious nature but more importantly she always comes across confident, I love that about her style.

What’s a childhood habit or mannerism that has followed you into adulthood? Haha, good question! As the elder daughter of 2 siblings I definitely was a control freak and felt the need to lead and direct my younger sisters. Well, nowadays, nothing much has changed, haha. I still think it's my role to take control, plan, lead and direct others the way I see fit, because, you know, clearly I know what is best 100% of the time, ha!

Name three things you can’t leave the house without and why? 1. A change of clothes (chances are I'm headed to the gym and will need to change after a shower!) 2. My daily snacks; mixed nuts, protein bar, strawberries/blueberries, rice cakes. If I'll be running around all day I need for my snacks to be in arms reach, so pre packing my snacks with me is imperative! 3. My favorite Lip Balm, simply because I can't live without it. I hate having dry lips so I'm always applying a little lip conditioner on these pluckers to keep em' soft and plump!
