Fitness Friday - The Biggest Bootcamp at Sea with Shannan Ponton

It only seems like yesterday I was doing Shannan's Malcolms and burpees on the top deck of the Carnival Cruise. Time flies when you're having fun !!!If you recall I was invited to experience a fitcation onboard Carnival Cruise Lines with the amazing Shannan Ponton from the Biggest Loser last year, and boy! did we get a workout!Check out our amazing time away here.

Today Shannan takes 5 minutes to share with us his Fitness Food And Style ethos;

1. What fitness activity do you schedule into your daily routine to keep healthy?
Any activity that will get my heart rate up! I'm not fussy I just love activity...but... the secret is, to get it done first thing in the morning before anything else creeps up and robs you of your training time. 
2. Describe your dream meal - what could we expect to find on your plate?
For Lunch: 
My new custom designed turkey burger. Using Quinoa and Chia Superfood bread, low fat turkey, hand made cranberry sauce, smashed avocado, lettuce and diet ranch dressing. See, healthy fast food can be delicious too.
For Dinner: 
Some oysters to start. Mixed some natural, some Kilpatrick and some with ginger and soy.
A BIG plate of mixed Sashimi. Accompanied by edamame, and sea weed salad.The chocolate melting cake on board Carnival Spirit, it's worth every extra minute in the gym. Mmmmm.
3. Who’s your go to style icon - who have you always admired for their style, and why?
Have you seen my style? It's obvious I should of found a style icon years ago! I love nothing more than knocking around in a pair of Quicksilver boardies, thongs or Asic's trainers and a singlet. Now that little ensemble is very versatile for training, skating, meetings, drinking or just playing with Max. So I guess... 'Northern Beaches, bogan chic, surfie, trainer kind a vibe?!?'  
4. What’s a childhood habit or mannerism that has followed you into adulthood?
ONE MORE!! It doesn't matter what I'm doing there's ALWAYS time for one more! Surfing, training, beer, meeting, article, skate, play on the swings with Max. As a kid mum was always frustrated by me always going for one more. Ironically and aptly Max's first, two words together was 'ONE MORE!' and is still his number one phrase of the day. 
5. Name three things you can’t leave the house without and why?
My Asics trainers. I'll find a place to train anywhere provided I've got good wheels on! 
A pair of Quickies (Quicksilver) boardshorts are so comfy and versatile.
Low Carb Protein Bars. At the moment I've got a box of Nature's Way, Slim right bars on the go. Low fat, carbs and calories it's the perfect 'get out of jail free' snack.

I am also super excited for you and your new ambassadorship with Carnival Cruise Lines (first Aussie ambassador, yay!). It's such an amazing experience and for those that need a getaway and combine a fitcation at the same, I highly recommend it.
