Discovering New Exercises
Today is Fitness Friday and week 3 of our #28daybreakthru #fernwoodangels online program with Fernwood Fitness. It's been great having a weeks plan of food and fitness. Gives you time to prepare and "make" time to workout. Here's a little peek at the exercises I have been doing for the past 3 weeks:
Curtsy lunges
This move not only tones your core, arms, legs, and butt, it also improves your coordination and balance. Don't bend your knee more than 90 degrees. Do 10 to 15 reps on each side.
Battle ropes
I loved these. Such a great core workout. I felt these in my arms, shoulders and tummy region. Worked out a real sweat.
Dumbbell press
Dumbell Press is an alternative to the standard barbell Bench Press. It's good to alternate between Bench Press and exercises like Dumbell Press, to keep the body guessing, which promotes growth.
Mountain climbers
Whoosh! One of my fave workouts!
Leg press
Now this workout gives your glutes a nice, natural lift ;-)
Power plate
Power Plate technology uses a vibrating platform, which moves 25 to 50 times per second resulting in corresponding muscle activation. The vibrations are harmonic, which are safe, consistent and controlled levels of vibration, moving in three directions (up and down, forwards and backwards and side to side).
I hope you enjoyed my human robot talk. It was so funny.
I look forward to wrapping the week up next week with the amazing Lee Squire, our local Fernwood Fitness owner in Ballarat. Stay tuned.
Which exercise did you like above?
Much love and friendship, XxDani
