Running And Functional Patterns Training
I really need to get back into running once my sciatica eases off. As you know I recently came across Functional Patterns and I've gotta tell you, I'm in love.
What is Functional Patterns?
In order for the body to function properly, there must be cohesiveness between the muscles, joints and neuromuscular system. FP is all about looking at the behaviors creating deficiencies in our body.
FP founder Naudi's intention is to give relevant information on how to balance yourself within the confines of what nature allows. There are many ways in compensating for our cultural inefficiencies and bring back balance to your health.
"If you take an in depth analysis of the problem, you will understand that our evolutionary path to become who we are biologically, has taken a backseat in priority to this current cultural zeitgeist. Rather than walk, we drive. Rather than eat for nutritional purpose, we eat for emotional purpose. Rather than prioritize health, we prioritize material possessions that rot our brains. These dysfunctional patterns (mental and physical) are responsible for these such issues, and unless we address these issues, functionality with our bodies will be impossible. If we neglect our natural roots, our bodies are going to pay dearly for it."
Naudi and his team are dedicated on showing you how to:
- Manage your physical pain
- Drop body fat and build muscle through the maximization of your catabolic and anabolic systems
- Maintain your exercise regimen
- Manage your stress at a foundational level
- Improve energy
- Improve libido
- Prevent diseases
- Move efficiently
- ADAPT
Benefits of running
- help to build strong bones, as it is a weight bearing exercise.
- strengthen muscles.
- improve cardiovascular fitness.
- burn plenty of kilojoules.
- help maintain a healthy weight.
Besides it's our birth right! We are all born to run
I found this running video extremely useful from Functional Patterns Naudi as it addresses multiple factors not only about efficiently running but proper form and strengthening the core group of muscles bilaterally.
This man has a wealth of indepth knowledge and always super informative. It's amazing what he's discovered in human movement and performance.
I can't wait to share more as I learn with my local Functional Patterns Mazmois here on the Gold Coast. He fixes me everytime I go there and enables me to kinesthically take care of my own body whenever it's not performing.
