There are so many ways for us to keep active this month with amazing events and challenges. My good friend Ky Hurst is hosting his Great Sydney Swim on 26th January 2015, what a way to kick start your Australia Day. Remember when I went there last year? Click here to check out all the action.
If you are wanting something more low key this month, you may want to join Linda from Mums On The Go. She is hosting a 7 Day Self Care Challenge for Mums. A great way to balance motherhood and the other crazy things we need to do in 24 hours! As long as you are connected with like minded people, moving your body and keeping motivated, that's all that matters to me!
Food
Today was super hot (lucky we get to use our pool in Ballarat 4 weeks of the year! ha ha) and the kids kept drinking, eating and I felt I was in the kitchen all day trying to find creative ways to hydrate them. These infused fresh fruit waters work a treat every time. So grab your favourite fruit, herbs and ice to keep hydrated over summer. We also did loads of frozen fruit popsicles and the biggest hit was the yogurt bark (pictured top RHS).
Yogurt cranberry bark
Ingredients
Natural Greek yogurt
1 punnet of strawberries or raspberries
Cacao nibs
Sprinkle of cranberries
Method
Blend yogurt with fruit, pour on baking (parchment) paper, sprinkle cacao and cranberries or grated coconut! Freeze until set.
Super healthy, refreshing and great crunchy chewy texture. I hope you enjoy these summer treats.
That's a wrap from me, have a great Thursday and I'll catch you tomorrow.
