Food HERO Hummus
One of the most practical dips, spreads and condiments on the planet. So easy to make and a healthy alternative for your kids sandwiches instead of margarine and butter.
Chickpeas (like other legumes eg: beans, peas and lentils) are loaded with vitamins and minerals known to benefit our bodies and are prized for their high protein and fibre content.
Ingredients
2 cups of cooked chickpeas (use either canned or soak the night before and boil until soft) Drizzle of olive or macadamia oil Crushed garlic 1 tablespoon of tahini & handful of chopped coriander Squeeze of 1-2 limes or lemons Sprinkle of cumin and smoked paprikA Salt & pepper
Method
Combine all ingredients in the food processor. until it becomes very smooth, 1 to 2 minutes.
